You’ve seen him on Netflix’s GLOW and ABC’s Grown-ish. You’ve seen his work on Todrick Hall’s music videos for “I Like Boys” and “Dripeesha.” (#DirectorGoals)

Now you get to see Colton Tran in a new role on HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls. With the first episodes of season two streaming now, his character and frat boy, Reece, has already been established as a potential roadblock to the protagonists’ plans at Essex College this semester, following their shenanigans resulting in a campus party ban last season.

Starring Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp, and Alyah Chanelle Scott, and helmed by showrunners Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, the new season is teeing up lots of drama and room for the titular characters to grow as they navigate new challenges.

Following the action at Essex, Tran, 33, isn’t slowing down anytime soon, as he is slated to appear in Snow Falls next year, which he also directed, and holds directorial cred for upcoming films The Bell Keeper, Sorry, Charlie, Sketch, and Frightland.

All that said, we only have one piece of advice as you continue to watch his star rise: Stay tuned, Tran fans!
